A Girl in Parts by Jasmine Paul
Jasmine Paul’s YA Novel, “A Girl, In Parts”

This month is Client Manager Jasmine Paul’s 2 year anniversary with Mad Fish SEO. Jasmine specializes in working with our home building and construction clients due to years of experience working with home builders, remodelers, contractors and HOA associations. And she has an eagle eye attention for detail. From taking care of day-to-day operations around the office, to offering her excellent editing skills (she’s a published author!), to literally sitting with co-workers until they’ve figured out and accomplished a task, Jasmine is our go-to-girl for problem solving. But we wanted to know a little more about the woman, the myth, the legend; here’s what we uncovered.

What was your first job?

When I was 14 years old I got a job helping a lady down the street with her mail order catalog business. She sold candles, wreaths, mirrors and tchotchkes.A few evenings every week she would take me to the homes of her friends and we would demonstrate all the varied combinations you could make with wreaths and candles, small shelves and knickknacks. I was Vanna White to her Pat Sajak. Note to our readers, this was long before the Internet.

What are you reading?

Usually you can find me reading biographies, but I’ve run out at the moment.

What is your favorite TV show right now?

Mad Men! Roger Sterling (played by John Slattery) is my hero.

Who’s your favorite person to follow on Twitter? Or who do you wish you could follow?

Dorothy Parker.

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor? (Past or Present)

Roger Sterling – he seems to have it all figured out. Even if the mentoring didn’t work out, we could commiserate over cocktails.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

“You can lead a horticulture, but you can’t make her think.” ~Dorothy Parker

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?

I hate folding the laundry. I absolutely loathe it.

What do you like about your job?

My job allows for a great deal of creativity, which I enjoy. I get to participate in everything from writing and content management to infographic creation and strategy.
